Citizens Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the hiring of Marianne George as Assistant Vice President and Marketing Director.

As Marketing Director, Marianne will be the bank liaison with long-time agency of record and brand management partner, Tinsley Creative. Ms. George has more than 25 years of marketing experience in both the nonprofit and higher education sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The University of Tampa and a Master of Science in Management from The University of South Florida. Marianne is a graduate of Leadership Winter Haven, Leadership Lake Wales, and Leadership Polk, and is a past president of the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven.

LAKE WALES, FL – As part of its 100-year anniversary celebration, Citizens Bank & Trust is pleased to announce 100 Days of Giving, an opportunity for qualified Polk County non-profit organizations to apply for part of a $100,000 grant fund.

Since 1920, Citizens Bank & Trust and its employees have been loyal partners with the Polk County communities they serve. “100 Days of Giving continues our tradition of making a difference by helping organizations that improve the lives of our neighbors,” said Jinx Chaney, Citizens Bank & Trust Board Member.

Organizations can begin submitting grant applications on September 14, 2020, at www.citizens-bank.com/100-days-of-giving/. All applications are due by October 9, 2020. The first awards, up to $10,000 per organization, will be announced in November 2020, with the final awards announced in 2021.

“Polk County is our home, and we strongly believe that it is our responsibility to take an active role in the communities we serve since we not only do business here, but live here as well,” said Citizens Bank & Trust President Greg Littleton. “As we celebrate 100 years in Polk County, 100 Days of Giving is a fitting way to demonstrate our enduring commitment to help make those communities better.”

It has been an honor to serve the small business community during this time of urgent need. Citizens Bank & Trust has processed and obtained approval for nearly 700 loans through the SBA’s PPP lending program totaling 90 million dollars. We were able to meet the needs of our customers, as well as many other businesses in our community. Loans began closing Monday, April 13th and will continue to fund over the next several days until all approved applicants have received their proceeds. The SBA is no longer accepting applications for PPP loans, which we hope is only temporary. Rest assured that we stand ready to assist should a second wave of funding become available. Thank you once again for allowing us to serve the financial needs of you and your businesses.
