We offer several different accounts, however, not all accounts mentioned are eligible to be opened online. If your preferred account type is not available to be opened online, we invite you to visit one of our offices where a customer service team member can assist you in this process. MONTHLY FEE: The Primary Account Owner must meet one of the following monthly statement cycle requirements to avoid a $12.00 Monthly Fee:

  • $5,000 Combined Daily Average Balance in CB&T deposit account(s); or
  • An active Trust Account with the CB&T Trust and Investment Department12; or
  • A CB&T Loan or Line of Credit with a $15,000 minimum outstanding balance

CB&T refers to Citizens Bank & Trust.

(1) IDProtect® Service is a personal identity theft protection service available to personal checking account owners, their joint account owners and their eligible family members. Family includes: Spouse, persons qualifying as domestic partner, and children under 25 years of age and parent(s) of the account holder who are residents of the same household. See New Account Agreement and Welcome Kit for further details and information.

(2) Cellular Telephone Protection - Insurance is offered through the company named on the certificate of insurance. Cellular telephone bill must be paid through this account to be eligible for benefits. Please see Guide to Benefit for additional details regarding eligibility, terms and exclusions.

Insurance products: are not a deposit, are not FDIC insured, are not insured by any federal governmental agency, are not guaranteed by the bank or any bank affiliate.

(3) ATM usage fees may be incurred for each transaction, including balance inquiries, when you use your CB&T ATM card at Non-CB&T ATMs. Additional ATM usage fees may be charged at Non-CB&T ATMs by the ATM Owner. (See New Account Disclosures and Schedule of Fees for additional details.)

Premium Plan Checking Accounts with a Premium Plan MasterCard® Debit Card Only - No ATM usage fees for use at CB&T or Non-CB&T ATMs.

(4) Overdraft Item Fee of $34 per item paid/returned. CONSUMERS ONLY: A maximum of $204 per account/day in fees for paid/returned overdraft items. Accounts will not be charged for overdrafts resulting in a negative balance of $3.00 or less.

An Overdraft may occur by check, in-person withdrawal, ATM withdrawal, or other electronic means. ATM withdrawals and one-time debit card transactions will only be paid if you have signed an Opt-in Agreement. Even then, whether your overdraft(s) will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay.

(5) We do not provide insurance coverage for the contents of Safe Deposit Boxes, nor are the contents insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). You may, at your own expense, secure your own insurance.

(6) A Paper Statement Fee of $2.00 per month will be assessed for non-enrollment in E-Statements. The statement fee will be waived “upon request” for Customers age 65 or older.

(7) In accordance with Regulation D, CB&T reserves the right to require seven (7) days written notice before you withdraw money from your account.

(8) All account interest is calculated using the Daily Balance Method, which applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.

Account interest is then compounded and credited as follows:

  • Premium Plan Checking & Money Market Accounts: Interest is compounded and credited monthly.
  • Savings Accounts: Interest is compounded and credited quarterly.
  • Certificates of Deposit and IRAs: Interest is compounded and credited monthly.

Interest rates and Annual Percentage Yields (APYs) may change from time to time at our discretion, without notice. See New Account Agreement, or contact any of our local offices for details and information pertaining to current rates, tiers, terms and penalties.

(9) Penalties may be imposed for early withdrawal. See New Account Agreements for details. In accordance with Federal Regulation D, withdrawals within six (6) days of the date of deposit are subject to a required early withdrawal penalty of at least seven (7) days simple interest on the amount withdrawn.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are subject to limitations and/ or penalties imposed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). See your tax advisor for additional information.

(10) Online Banking registration, an active U.S. checking or savings account, valid social security number, and a valid email address or U.S. mobile number, is required to use Zelle®. Your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply. Zelle® and the Zelle® related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.

(11) Credit offers are subject to credit and underwriting approvals, and may be subject to appraisal, insurance, loan-to-value and other qualifications and requirements. Interest rates, program terms, fees and conditions are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply. See Lender for details.
