Brian MarbuttLAKE WALES, FL – Brian Marbutt was sworn in as a new member of the Lake Wales Charter Schools Board of Trustees on June 12. The nominating committee submitted his name to fill a vacancy, and the board voted for him to serve Seat 3 on the Board of Trustees. His three-year term begins July 1, 2023 and runs to June 30, 2026.

Brian is a First Vice President and Commercial Lender for Citizens Bank & Trust. He is a lifelong resident of the Lake Wales area, and a 1986 graduate of Lake Wales High School. He earned his AA degree from Polk State College, his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Webber International University, and has been active in the Lake Wales community in a variety of volunteer roles. He is a graduate of Leadership Lake Wales, Leadership Polk, and served on the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council Board of Directors for 20 years. In 2022, he was recognized as the 2022 Lake Wales Citizen of the Year.

Darbi VanderfordDarbi Vanderford-Fulton is the Business Development Officer at our Plant City office. She brings over twenty years of relationship banking experience to Citizens Bank & Trust.

A third-generation resident of Plant City, Darbi believes in the importance of community involvement, and gives her time to a number of local civic and community organizations, including the Plant City Chamber of Commerce, Plant City Economic Development Council and the Rotary Club of Plant City.

As a Business Development Officer, she works with local businesses to determine their banking needs and find the Citizens Bank & Trust solution to help them reach their goals. Darbi strives to provide the highest level of communication to all her customers, working one-on-one with each customer throughout the lending process.

The article, compiled from information featured in the Journal’s 2022-2023 Book of Lists publication, includes Banking data gathered from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and covers seven counties in the Greater Tampa Bay area.

According to the article, Citizens Bank & Trust is the region’s fourth-largest community bank, and has more than tripled in size over the last decade.

Mindy SchneiderMindy Schneider has been promoted to Bank Officer and Branch Manager of the Dade City office location of Citizens Bank & Trust. The office, located at 13844 7th Street, marks the Bank’s first entry into Pasco County.

A fifth-generation native of Dade City, Ms. Schneider began her banking career in 2006, starting as a teller and working her way up to Branch Manager. With an extensive background in the Dade City market, she has participated in a variety of events in support of local nonprofits. She serves on the board of directors for The Thomas Promise Foundation, which seeks to provide food to children in Pasco County through a weekly backpack program. She considers the most rewarding part of her banking career to be spending time with customers and working to find banking solutions to fit their specific needs.

Sandra CouchLAKE WALES, FL – Sandra Couch has been named to lead the new Plant City office location of Citizens Bank & Trust. A temporary office, located at 1803A James L. Redman Parkway, opened June 21. New construction on a permanent building, located approximately one mile south of the temporary office, is expected to begin later this year.

With over 30 years of retail management experience, including 16 years in banking, Ms. Couch has spent the last six years working in the Plant City market. Her community service includes work with the Plant City Chamber of Commerce, the Tampa Bay Diversity Council, and as a Community Ambassador for the Plant City Business Advisory board. She is passionate about working with customers one-on-one to determine the right banking solutions to meet their needs. Her dedication to the banking industry extends beyond the bank office, as she enjoys working with students and senior citizens to teach sound banking and credit principles.
