Many students have also received scholarships to college dance programs including Florida State\, Southern Methodist University and Goucher College. \nIn addition to performing\, the professional company of Florida Dance Theatre has strong roots in its outreach programs.  Educational partnerships with various organizations such as Family Fundamentals\, Salvation Army\, and the Lakeland Housing Authority\, summer camps\, scholarship programs and in-school Arts in Education performance series over the years have kept Florida Dance Theatre connected to the community through education and entertainment. \n\n 305 W Main St\nLakeland\, FL 33815\nTuesday\, October 30\, 2018\n10:30 AM – 11:30 AM (863) 688-8551\, Ext. 230\nFree to attend. SUMMARY:Ultimate Corporate Cup 2018
DESCRIPTION:Ultimate Corporate Cup 2018 \nUltimate Corporate Cup 2018 \nFriday\, October 26\, 2018 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST \n  \nThe Ultimate Corporate Cup is an adult field day team-building competition like no other. Consisting of teams of 4-6 people representing a business\, teams will compete in numerous challenges. Challenges will vary from mental games to physical activities\, but it’s important to note that this event does not require you to be an athlete in any way. This is all about the fun! Teams earn points throughout the days activities as well as through team-spirit. Not every team member has to or will compete in every activity. A business may enter more than one team (department vs. department competition is good too!)

SUMMARY:Generational Engagement - Dillon Kalkhurst
DESCRIPTION:Generational Engagement: Featuring Dillon Kalkhurst\n Name: Generational Engagement: Featuring Dillon Kalkhurst \n  \nDate: October 16\, 2018 \n  \nTime: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM EDT \n  \nRegister Now \n  \n \n  \nEvent Description: \n  \nLakeland Chamber to co-host with the Winter Haven Chamber. Special thanks to our event sponsors: ASAP Prints and Bank of Central Florida! \nFor the first time in history\, five generations are active in the workforce and the marketplace. Effective internal and external communication is now more important than ever. It is not a one generation challenge. Generational harmony requires a lot more than just trying to “understand Millennials.” \nLearning to speak the language of your multi-generational co-workers and customers translates into more sales\, productivity and harmony in the workplace\, leading to less employee turnover\, lower risk\, higher profits and\, most importantly\, a more pleasant culture and environment for everyone. \nIn this interactive session\, you will learn about each of the five generations starting with a selfawareness of your own generational preferences and values. You will explore and acknowledge the different generational stereotypes and finally\, you will learn that your intergenerational friends\, associates\, and even family members may not be as difficult as you think. Perhaps they are just different. \nIn an informative and entertaining way\, you will come to the conclusion that “age diversity” is a strength and learn to leverage it throughout the workplace and your life. \n \nAbout Dillon Kalkhurst \nDillon Kalkhurst is an engaging speaker and author with a PASSION for helping individuals and organizations leverage and embrace the power of “age diversity.” Dillon is an Intergenerational Engagement Maven and author of the book\, GENERATION EVERYONE! A Guide to Generational \n  \nHarmony at Work\, School\, and Home. \nPrior to becoming and author and sought after speaker\, he enjoyed a educational marketing and strategic partnerships career and most recently served as executive director of business development and community development at Scholastic. While at Scholastic\, Dillon created company-wide strategies to help the 100-year-old children?s publisher engage their 1.6 million Millennial parent volunteers and 60 million Gen Z customers. \nDillon\, a Gen X-Boomer “Cusper” consults with Fortune 500 companies\, school districts\, and national nonprofit organizations to help them engage their multi-generational employees\, volunteers\, and customers. He founded The Center for Intergenerational Engagement to support the findings in his book. Dillon speaks all over the U.S.\, Canada\, and the Caribbean helping raise generational self-awareness\, dispel negative generational stereotypes and creating a culture of generational harmony at work\, school\, and home. \nIn addition to writing and speaking\, Dillon is also a professional photographer\, video storyteller\, and teen mental health advocate. He lives in Ormond Beach\, Florida with his wife Linda\, son and future special-ed teacher\, Jordan and the family pet “Frank the Beach Pug.” \n   \nLocation: \n  \nCenter for Public Safety\n1251 Jim Keene Blvd\nWinter Haven\, FL 33880 \n  \nDate/Time Information: \n  \nTuesday\, October 16\, 2018\n8:00 – 10:00 AM \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nFees/Admission: \n  \n$15.
